AN OFFICE SPACE FOR PEOPLE
Offices have always been integral to the Brädstapeln building complex. The structures were erected in the typical 1970s architecture, with open and all-inclusive office spaces. The new, improved premises will house offices that cater to the evolved needs of modern businesses and their employees. Our enhanced design will take into account how today’s tenants identify and interact with their place of work.
NEW VIEW WITH SUPERSTRUCTURE
Brädstapeln’s massive, late modernist facade along Fleminggatan will remain. A light superstructure, designed by Manuelle Gautrand, will be placed on top of the existing roof. Green spaces will be planted alongside the superstructure to contrast with Brädstapeln’s robust building materials and strong geometric forms.
“We want to raise the profile of the building by enhancing its silhouette and structural form in a way which leaves an imprint on the Stockholm skyline. The Trygg Hansa building is a modernist classic. It takes a superstructure of the highest architectural quality to preserve the building’s legacy while adapting it to the new needs of the city.”
